    • Multi-Protocol Bidirectional Conversion:

        It handles both cyclic (real-time I/O signals) and acyclic (parameter configuration, fault diagnostics) data, with a maximum transmission latency of <20ms—meeting the real-time demands of most industrial control scenarios.

    • DeviceNet Interface Capabilities:
      Integrates a standard DeviceNet interface (terminal block connection, compliant with EN 50325-5) with:

      • Auto-adaptive baud rates: 125 kbps, 250 kbps, 500 kbps (matches common DeviceNet network speeds).

      • Support for up to 63 DeviceNet slave devices (when operating as a DeviceNet master) or direct connection to a DeviceNet master (when operating as a slave).

      • Built-in DeviceNet power distribution (24V DC) to simplify wiring for connected sensors/actuators.

    • Ethernet Interface Configuration:
      Equipped with 2x 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports (auto-negotiation, full/half-duplex) to support flexible network topologies:

      • Daisy-chain: Reduces cable usage by connecting multiple gateways or Ethernet devices in sequence.

      • Star: Direct connection to Ethernet switches for stable, high-reliability networks.

    • Flexible Configuration & Firmware Support:
      Configurable via Hilscher’s SYCON.net software, allowing users to:

      • Map DeviceNet I/O data to Ethernet protocol data points (customizable data length up to 256 bytes).

      • Import EDS (Electronic Data Sheet) files for DeviceNet devices and GSDML files for PROFINET/EtherNet/IP, ensuring plug-and-play compatibility.

      • Update gateway firmware via Ethernet to support new protocol features or bug fixes, extending the product’s lifecycle.
