The Bentley 3500/22M Transient Data Interface Module (TDI) is the interface between the Bentley 3500 monitoring system and compatible software, such as System 1 status monitoring and diagnostic software and 3500 system configuration software. This module combines the functionality of the 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) with the data collection capabilities of communication processors such as TDXnet, and is located in the slot next to the 3500 rack power supply

Data collection:
Steady state and transient data acquisition: TDI can continuously collect steady-state and transient dynamic (waveform) data, and transmit the data to
the host software through an Ethernet link.
Static value data collection: including measurement values from the monitor, providing 4 nX static values for each point, and returning amplitude and phase
values.
Waveform sampling: Supports waveform data acquisition from 48 channels, with multiple sampling frequencies and bandwidths.
Alarm data collection:
Data collection before and after the alarm: waveform data collection is conducted 2.5 minutes before the alarm and 1 minute after the alarm, with an
interval of 10 seconds.
Communication protocol:
BN host computer protocol: communicates with 3500 configuration software and 3500 data acquisition and display software.
BN TDI protocol: Communicate with Bently Nevada System 1 asset management data acquisition software.
Front panel communication: Supports RS232 protocol, with a maximum baud rate of 115.2kbps
