3500/42M-PWA176449-02 Function


The main function of the 3500/42M monitor is to provide:


Machine protection through continual comparison of monitored parameters against defined alarm setpoints to generate alarms.


Important machine data for both operations and maintenance personnel.


Depending on the arrangement, each channel often conditions its input signal to yield various parameters known as "static values.

" The user has the option of configuring Alert setpoints for any active static value and Danger setpoints for any two active static values.


Alarm setpoints


The user can specify Alert levels for any value measured by the monitor and Danger setpoints for any two of the values measured

by the monitor using software setup. For each measured value, alarms can be set from 0 to 100 percent of full scale. The only exception

is when the fullscale range exceeds the transducer's range. In this instance, the transducer's range will limit the setpoint. Alarms

are accurate to within 0.13 percent of the desired value.
