Characteristics

Holds the rack power supplies and all of the 3500 monitor modules.

Two sizes are produced: full-size rack and mini-rack

Produced in three different configurations: panel mount, rack mount, and bulkhead mount

Positions for 7 or 14 racks

3500/05-01-03-00-00-00(RACK) Features and Formats

Panel mount: This rack format attaches to panels' rectangular cutouts and fastens to the panel with clamps that come with the rack. I/O modules and wiring connections are accessible from the rack's back.

The 3500 Rack is mounted using this rack format on 19-inch EIA rails. I/O modules and wiring

connections are accessible from the rack's back.

When it's impossible to access the back of the rack, this rack format mounts the rack against a

wall or panel. I/O modules and wiring connections are reachable from the front of the rack. This

format is not available for the 3500/05 Mini-Rack.

The far-left rack positions must house the power supplies and the rack interface module.

Any combination of modules may be used in the remaining 14 rack positions (including the

mini-seven rack's rack positions).
